"Thank you God,   life is great!"

Look for the new mystery novel, Scrafitto. It's about: Mitch Sharp's comfortable existence as a commercial photographer in a Costa Rican expatriate art community is shattered when an attacker begins slashing women with a razor-like knife, deliberately splattering their blood on nearby walls.

Sharp, an ex-homicide cop who fled the States after being ousted from the Seal Beach PD, takes photos of tourist on eco-tours like white-water raft trips and zip-line tours in beautiful Costa RIca. After many women are attacked, Mitch is persuaded by a pretty fellow artist, Angie, to help investigate the crimes.

When the attacker raises the stakes and begins to murder, Mitch must act.  Combining his investigative and photographic skills, Sharp discovers the identity of the murderer.   Isolated in a foreign country, and fearful that his fellow artists are next, (maybe even Angie)
Sharp gathers an unusual team of ex-pats to solve the crimes before the killer strikes again.

Woven with a thread of photography references, SCRAFITTO, is a fast-paced read, focusing on the characters and the culture. The novel features a refreshingly compassionate sleuth delving into the lives of ex-pats in the picturesque resort town of Quepos, Costa RIca.
